About the Play
In 1962, the B-movie, “The Brain That Wouldn’t Die”, was released and became an instant cult classic.
Fifty years later, Hollywood writer/producer, Bruce Bernhard, acquired the rights and collaborated with pop songwriter, Chris Cassone, to create a staged musical comedy based upon the original film.
The project has attracted the finest talent in Charleston SC, including director, Linda Eisen. The play had its world premiere in 2016 at the storied Footlight Players Theatre in Charleston’s beautiful and historic French Quarter.
